How a Site Comes Together

Built to support the entire site process.

Most sites need four or five different subs to get from raw ground to paving day. We carry the whole sequence, which means fewer handoffs, fewer schedule gaps, and one number to call when the grade needs to change.

Typical Section: Raw Ground to Finished Surface Self-performed by Grays Peak Services
FINISHED SURFACE: CONCRETE OR ASPHALT AGGREGATE BASE ENGINEERED FILL: COMPACTED & PROOF ROLLED NATIVE SOIL

PHASE 1

Demolition

Existing asphalt, concrete, curb and gutter removed and hauled off.

PHASE 2

Excavation

Site cleared, unsuitable soils dug out and exported.

PHASE 3

Fill & Stabilize

Structural fill imported, moisture treated, compacted in lifts.

PHASE 4

Base Placement

Aggregate base placed to depth and proof rolled.

PHASE 5

Fine Grading

GPS-guided blade work brings the pad to design elevation.

PHASE 6

Ready to Pave

Surface turned over to your concrete or asphalt crew.

Why Contractors Call Us

Small enough to answer. Equipped enough to deliver.

Grays Peak began with a passion for the construction industry and for building things that last. Through long hours and hard work we’ve built a company meant to leave a legacy, and a team whose leadership brings a decade of combined experience on multimillion-dollar projects.

  • You reach the owner. Ten people, no phone tree. Owners answer estimating questions themselves.
  • We own the trucks. In-house hauling means material shows up when the schedule says it will.
  • GPS machine control. Blade work to design elevation, with less staking and less rework.
  • No job too small. A residential driveway and a municipal roadway get the same crew and the same standard.
  • Registered where it counts. City contractor registration with Aurora and Commerce City.
